Zach's Pack
We are joining Cook Children’s for our first The Blast, an annual walk to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and care. The Blast shows kids and their families affected by cancer that they’ll never walk alone on their journey. Their community is with them every step of the way!
After being diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome at 5, Zechariah was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age 6. He went through years of physical therapy, had multiple surgeries, rehab stays, and constant drives from Amarillo to Fort Worth for treatments, while having to learn to walk all over again. He completed 4 rounds of chemotherapy and got to ring his bell!!
Since then, he's come along way and doing well!! He is now in 5th grade, plays sports, is in Honor Choir, StuCo at his school and thriving, all things that seemed so far away when sitting in the hospital during chemo/IVIg days.
Every journey is different and unique, but the same in that we all need help and support. Help us reach Zechariah's goal of $1,000 to help families and kids currently writing their story.
Join our team to walk with us on Saturday, March 28 and to help us #blastawaycancer.
If you would like to donate without registration, select one of our teammates below and donate directly through their page. This way will count towards Zechariah's goal!
We love and appreciate every single one of you, can't wait to see what we accomplish this year!!
About The Blast and Cook Children’s: The Blast will launch from Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth on Saturday, March 28, 2026. This community walk event celebrates and remembers children affected by cancer and their families. Funds raised through The Blast directly benefit research, treatment and care for all cancers at Cook Children’s, a leading institution in the fight against childhood cancer. It’s your turn to sign up, donate, and show up, to tell Cook Children’s patients and their families that they’ll never walk alone.
