for our superhero scottie!!!
Hi!! We are teaming up with Cook Children’s and The Blast to show kids and families affected by cancer that they’ll never walk alone. The Blast raises money for pediatric cancer research, treatment and care. Every dollar counts on our mission to #blastawaycancer! Please consider making a gift to help us reach our goals, or come walk with us on Saturday, March 28.
Our youngest son, Scottie, was diagnosed with L2 Neuroblastoma in March 2025 when he was just 2 months old. What has followed since has been a blur of scans, imaging, tests, biopsies, bloodwork, surgeries, medications, and more days and nights in children's hospitals across Texas than we can count. We are the lucky ones because Scottie received wonderful healthcare and is currently in remission, on the road to being a totally healthy, normal baby. Throughout the last year, we have been uplifted and supported by our family, friends, church leaders, doctors, nurses, dietitians, and hospital staff, and now we want to help support other families going through the same experience.
No one ever wants to hear the words "your child has cancer." With your help, we can fight to end pediatric cancer!!
About The Blast and Cook Children’s: The Blast will launch from Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth on Saturday, March 28, 2026. This community walk event celebrates and remembers children affected by cancer and their families. Funds raised through The Blast directly benefit research, treatment and care for all cancers at Cook Children’s, a leading institution in the fight against childhood cancer. It’s your turn to sign up, donate, and show up, to tell Cook Children’s patients and their families that they’ll never walk alone.
