Welcome to our fundraising page! Lauren and Will are teaming up with Cook Children’s and The Blast. The Blast raises money for pediatric cancer research, treatment and care. Every dollar counts on our mission to #blastawaycancer!

Our youngest son, Benjamin, was diagnosed with an optic pathway glioma in July 2025. We are beyond grateful for the phenomenal care he has received at Cook Children’s, and the support we feel as a family. 

We are thrilled the first round of chemo had incredible results, and his health has improved dramatically. Unfortunately, results from the second round were mixed and we have moved to the second line treatment, a targeted therapy in the form of an oral inhibitor. We are already benefitting from the research funding for his rare variation of this tumor which has enabled huge strides in treatment options in recent years. The clinical trial for this inhibitor just concluded in 2024!
