Brave like Brady Blast Page
We’re teaming up with Cook Children’s and The Blast to show kids and families affected by cancer that they’ll never walk alone.
Our son, Brady, was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma — a rare pediatric cancer, and our world changed overnight. What we thought was just a sweet, chubby-cheeked newborn turned into scans, specialists, and words no parent is ever prepared to hear.
From the very beginning, Cook Children’s became more than a hospital to us. It became our safe place.
They didn’t just treat Brady’s cancer — they cared for all of us. They held our hands through impossible conversations. They celebrated milestones that felt enormous. They fought for our baby like he was their own. Because of the research, treatment, and compassionate care available there, Brady is here. Thriving. Growing. Meeting milestones. Working hard every single day.
Pediatric cancer is different. It’s underfunded. It’s rare. It’s complex. And our babies deserve better — better treatments, better outcomes, better futures.
That’s why we are choosing to walk.
The Blast raises money for pediatric cancer research, treatment, and care right here at Cook Children’s. Every dollar truly matters. It funds research breakthroughs. It supports families in the middle of the fight. It helps ensure that when another family hears the words “your child has cancer,” they have a team ready to carry them through it.
If Brady’s story has ever touched your heart, if you’ve ever whispered a prayer for him, if you believe kids like him deserve every chance — we would be so honored if you’d support this mission.
Make a gift to help us reach our goal, or join our team and walk with us on Saturday, March 28.
This year is extra special, he was too sick to participate last year but this year he’s ready! We’re ready!
We walk because Brady is here.
We walk because other babies deserve to be here too.
And we won’t stop until cancer knows it picked the wrong kids.
