As most of you know, I am a pediatrician at Cook Children’s and every year they hold a fundraiser called The Blast to show kids and families affected by cancer that they’ll never walk alone. The Blast raises money for pediatric cancer research, treatment and care. Every dollar counts on our mission to #blastawaycancer! 

My wonderful work family and I will participate to honor Jake and his battle with Ewing sarcoma.  His strength, grit, and positivity throughout this journey continues to amaze us all.  I am so incredibly proud to be his mom!
