On April 11, 2023 Maely Kate was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain cancer called Diffuse Midline Glioma at the age of 4. She began her journey at Cook Children's and was the first DMG child to participate in a clinical trial for her cancer. She was removed from the clinical trial due to progression. Maely Kate now attends a clinical trial in San Francisco at UCSF and travels every four weeks. 

All donations made go directly towards Cook Children's hematology/oncology. These donations will help change the lives of children fighting cancer! Kids like Maely Kate would also greatly benefit from the help as it would also bring more clinical trials to Cook Children's and allow them to remain home and close to loved ones as they fight for their lives!
