This is our family’s second year participating in the Blast 5k benefiting Cook Children’s HO Floor. We spent nine months being cared for by the amazing staff there. 

Elias was diagnosed with leukemia January 14th of 2022, on his first birthday. He reach remission June 10th and received bone marrow transplant July 20th. Unfortunately, while his body was recovering he caught an infection that severely impacted his lungs. He went on ECMO August 31st, where he fought hard for 49 days. October 18th, he went home to be with his creator. 

Even though Elias has finished his battle and earned his wings, there are still families in the middle of theirs. We would be honored to have you and your family join us in remembering our son and supporting our friends. #howiesfrogchasers
