This first grade class is missing one of its bright faces.  

Her name is Demi and she is currently undergoing treatment at Cook Children’s for ependymoma—a type of cancer that begins in the central nervous system.

Hajek Elementary in Burleson ISD is raising funds this holiday season to benefit the Hematology and Oncology department at Cook Children’s to help Demi and other children like her.

In lieu of gifts to one another at our campus this year, we ask that you donate to this worthy cause.

The “Dollars for Demi” fundraiser is a small way to help find a cure for pediatric cancer.
