OUR STORY

We are the Barrett family! We are an adventurous, fun-loving, hardworking, and always on the go crew. We live in Haslet, TX. We have 4 kiddos 12, 9, 7, and 5. We stay busy with work, coaching sports, bringing all 4 kids to their sports, hanging out with our dog Tri and spending time as a family.

OUR WHY

Our youngest was recently diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a very rare form of epilepsy that is drug resistant. Maci has been hospitalized several times this year and is under the care of an amazing neurologist Dr. Perry at Cook Children's. Being the youngest of the family, we all so adore Maci, she is such a bright light in our family. Seeing Maci go through these struggles really makes us want to help her and others with Epilepsy. 

OUR HOW

As we head into the 2021 holiday season, we plan to raise money for this special cause! We are calling on loved ones, friends, neighbors, and strangers to help us out. Our family wants to be able to give kids with epilepsy the ability to have fun and enjoy things that they are passionate about, just like we do through triathlon.

November is epilepsy awareness month, along with November 1st being Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome awareness day.  We sincerely hope you’ll join us by donating to the cause on this site. Your contributions will go directly to Cook Children’s Epilepsy department, where patients and family members get to experience events, activities, and research to make their life more enjoyable.
