Knock Childhood Cancer Out of the Park 2023

My name is Weston Wayne Moore. Two years ago, my cousin Ellie was diagnosed with cancer. Last year, I decided to do something to help. With the support of my TAG teacher, Mrs. Wright, sponsors, and my new friends at Cook Children's we were able to plan the first Knock Childhood Cancer Out of the Park fundraiser. Together, my community, my friends, and my family were all able to raise over $3600.

Every year over 15,000 children in the US are diagnosed with cancer. There are over 100 different types of childhood cancer and the average age of children diagnosed is 8 years old. It costs a lot of money for doctors to do research to try and find a way to help these children win their fight against their disease.

Most people know someone that has been affected by childhood cancer. I have decided my battle is not over. Knock Childhood Cancer Out of the Park will now be an annual fundraiser. The fundraiser will include an online fundraiser each year plus an annual wiffle ball homerun derby. All proceeds will go directly to Cook Children's to fund ongoing research taking place in the oncology department.

I'M UP FOR THE FIGHT! ARE YOU?

This is my Game-Plan!

We will be having a homerun derby to raise donations in June. Join us to "Knock Childhood Cancer Out of the Park" For more information contact Ashlie Moore at ashliemoore11@gmail.com.
